1 - The first step is to contact Instituto Braga, through our website and inform your choice of surgery. This way you will receive a form with some details of the procedure.
2 - If you want an idea on the costs involved, we ask you send us some photos to a pre-medical analysis.
3 - When you reach to a decision on the surgery Dr. Braga will send you a questionnaire and request some medical examinations. These examinations must be carried out in its city of origin and sent by e-mail with the reply of the questionnaire for Instituto Braga, through e-mail: ib@institutobraga.com.br
The foreign patients should repeat the medical exams in Brazil.
4 - After analyzing the information and pre-medical approval for the procedure, we can program the date of your preference to arrive in Sorocaba - SP - Brazil.
5 - For your comfort, if necessary, we can indicate a travel agency that will help you with the flights, hotel reservation and airport shuttles. Your flight should be to São Paulo.
6 - Then, as soon as you wish, and according to availability of the Medical Staff, your surgery may be scheduled.
This process does not replace medical consultation in person with the Dr. Braga, the consultation must occur in all cases prior to the surgery.
The surgery will be performed if all the tests required for the procedure are performed and the patient is in good conditions of physical and psychological health for the required procedure.
English is our official language for communication in medical consultation. All the guidelines given by the Physician in consultation must be duly followed.
7 - After the surgery, you will be in the hospital or clinic on average of eight to twenty-four hours, depending on the surgery performed and post-surgery clinical conditions, returning then to the place where you are staying. The length of stay in Brazil should be from seven to ten days after the surgical procedure. During this period, you shall have a follow-up of the Medical Staff through regular consultations, dressings and other necessary procedures until your conditions are considered perfect for the return to your city. We advise you not to travel for leisure after the surgical procedure, if you want travel in Brazil, it is better if you do that before the surgery.
